The Disco Biscuits have been nominated in the "Live Performance of the Year" category, for their New Year's Eve concert at New York's Hammerstein Ballroom.
The concert, heralded by virtually all the fans in attendance, saw the band put together one of their most complete performances in quite some time. With an near half hour take on "Magellan" as well as interesting take on the midnight countdown via "Save the Robots", the concert thrilled and satisfied fans who might have been upset at the impending departure of drummer Sam Altman.
The 2005 Jammys, hosted by Phil Lesh, will once again be held at New York's Theater at Madison Square Garden on April 26. The last time the awards were held in this venue, the night was peppered with many spirited performances and collaborations, including the reunion of The Black Crowes.
Tickets go on sale this coming friday.
