you can stream some sets from this years DEMF on their website by opening the audio player DEMF 2007 livesets the vonstroke and mayer sets are both worth a listen. they're adding 3 sets at a time to the stream, so check back every now and then. |

I was able to get this off the pig before it was pulled for being only one track. Turns out it was a total waste of my ratio, because copies are now floating around all over the internets. Nevertheless, I put together an SS of my own. here it is Here's a description from some nutjob's blog "Daft Punk are our heroes. I know I speak accurately for Breck when I say that we will both wholeheartedly support any endeavor they ever undertake. Guy-Manuel de Homem-Christo and Thomas Bangalter are untouchable music gods. Don't even bother arguing with me. So when the mix they did for Louis Vuitton's spring '08 fashion show popped up in our inbox, I freaked out. I mean, this is the original freaking Parisian dance duo after all. Somebody slap me before I faint from being too big a fan boy. The mix is bomb. The gents kick things off with a glorious combination of "Aerodynamic," "Human After All," and "Harder, Better, Faster, Stronger." Things keep going in the same direction for awhile, and eventually the robots mix in "Lex," a stellar track from touring mates Ratatat, and 'Yeezy's "Stronger." In the end it's all mashed together into one giant orgy of a dance mix. Unbe-freaking-lievable." |

has a real droney feel to it; not gonna make you want to fist-pump or get down but its just a really soothing overall theme; good for reading/studying or before bed. definitely on the minimal/ambient side as far as IDM and good when you don't want too pay too much attention to what you're listening to; just knowing its there is enough. |

yea; not finishing strong kind of sucks but the set is perfect for getting work done. The ProtonRadio was a lot more of a driving/fist-pump enducing mix; whereas this one is much more reserved. I love IDM when I want to lose myself in music and pay close attention to what I'm listening to, but I find his mixes are perfect when I don't want to listen to the set, so much as just keep my brain moving at a fast pace to get shit done. there are some really awesome and patient buildups throughout though; the beats just drop a lot harder and deliver more after the buildups in the first 25 or so minutes. |

sasha and digweed have never played trance. you are confusing progressive house with trance. well, ok sasha may have had an era where he did play some proggy trance in his sets, but digweed has ALWAYS been a techno/minimal house dj. digweed has only been around since the later part of the 90s. sasha has been around since probably the mid 80s. |

thanks for all the music! i hate megaupload, not just do they make u wait 40 seconds for every download, they have a limit of how much u can download per hour for free. mediafire is the best one because u can create a free account and then save stuff, put it in folders to download later or send to other people, and it doesnt expire like sendspace. |

You need a starting point before anyone could send you in the right direction forward. There needs to be a list of sorts made up with all of the different genres of electronic music with recommendations under each genre. There is a lot of stuff on here that gets recommended that I don't care for simply because I don't like that style. I guess start listening to all of the BBC Radio 1 essential mixes that are posted on here. I find that they are usually House, however, they DO feature various genres. Also, the DJs that they feature are reputable in one way or another. |

i started playing piano/keys with him (he started a guitarist) and a few friends in high school then as we spread throughout the country and moved away we all started doing more ableton stuff...i live in ann arbor now and so i do that stuff in my free time, played in a band for a while here then dropped that gig, so now i do the ableton/minimal/techno thing by myself and with some some kids from the old detroit crew who still live there when we have the chance to hook up |
