So, this is something that the green board kicks our ass in, and I will stand for it no more!

So, please post random shows or cds on sendspace that you may have on your hard drive for others to enjoy.

My first contribution is uploading right now. Marvin Gaye live in 1972.

Raw & Uncut Funk 1968-1975 Vol. 1-6

All 6 are in 3 parts. Enjoy!
Part I: http://www.sendspace.com/file/6ot6m6
Part II: http://www.sendspace.com/file/pwn8h3
Part III: http://www.sendspace.com/file/8hnufd

Funkafonix 1
20 massive tracks of full-on funk -- all hand selected by the crew at Funkaphonix, as part of their excellent series of compilations! The set's a bit light on packaging, but it more than makes up for that with its killer selection of tunes -- an all-winning batch that's like finding a tiny crate of rare funky 45s! Titles include "Just Keepa C'Mon" by D Spirit & The City Folk, "Generated Love" by BW Souls, "Kick It Out" by Manuel Be Halcolm, "The 4th Movement" by US Warren, "Sumpin Heavy" by Boys In The Band, "Side Trackin" by Scott Brothers, "All The Way Down" by March Wind, "Now Is The Time For Love" by Darrow Fletcher, and "It's LB Time" by Joe Cobb.

Funkafonix 2
Like funky 45s by hate shelling out heavy cash? Check out this tasty set -- which gives you 20 rare numbers for one low price! The set list is totally solid -- the kinds of rare tracks we barely ever see on wax, and which we usually sell for a pretty penny when we do! Titles include "Do The Spank" by SOT, "Blackbull" by EJ's LTD, "Push & Shove" by Willy Wiley, "Need I Say More" by Del Edwards, "Gimme Some Of Yours" by Artie White, "What I Got I Got" by Maurice, "I Need Ya" by Ron Holden, "You Blew My Mind" by Vernon Garrett, "Gone" by Mark V Unlimited, "I Need Someone" by Eddie Billups & Soul Express, and "The Bushman" by Tenth Dymensions.

Funkafonix 3
A deep funk party all the way through -- with 20 rare numbers that will make your funky ears very very happy! The package is right up there with the best sort of compilations of rare funky 45s -- stuffed to the top with great tracks that include "I Need Love" by Fred Johnson, "The Creeper" by Positive Sounds, "The Hawk" by The Soul Rockers, "Make Up Your Mind" by The Fifth Revelation, "Right On Right On" by Milt Grayson & The Mystery Guests, "Funky Blackman" by Earnest Jackson, "Rover Or Me" by Goodtime Charlie, "You Said Call Me" by Willie Fisher, "Doggie Dog World" by Duke Turner, and "Sweet Thang" by Joe Payne.

Funkafonix 4
Another winner from Electrostaic -- a 20 track set of deep and heavy funk numbers, done with a selection level that puts it right up there with the best titles in the Sound Of Funk series! Tracks include "The Switch" by The Village Choir, "Plenty Action" by Soft Touch, "Soft Soul" by Afro Soul Review, "Heavy Hips" by The Flamingos, "Pickin & Chippin" by Skip & Earnest, "You Got It" by Kenny Fickens, "The Real Thing" by BB Jones, "Commerce Thang" by Chamber Of Commerce, "Heavy Steppin" by Lou Toby & His Heavies, and "Running From The Devil" by Talisman.

Funkafonix 5
Funky madness -- and another great entry in this series that never stops putting out wonderful bits! Like the others, this one's got 20 tracks of all-solid, all-heavy, super-deep funk -- more than enough to please even the most finicky funky ears! Titles include "The Broadway Walk" by The Midnight Rebels, "Harlem Cultural Festival" by Tony Lawrence, "Chitlin Pot" by The Highlighters, "Foxy Funk" by Band Ocean Liners, "Laugh" by The Jacksonians, "Loosen Up" by ET Wiley, "Can You Dig It" by Ural Thomas, and "King Hustler" by The Moods.

Funkafonix 6
Number 6, and the funk never lets up! Those guys at Electrostatic Records really know what they're doing -- as this time around, they've managed to serve up a batch of funk so tasty it's easily one of the best in the Funkaphonix series! Titles include "You Got Me Mama" by Hayes Ware, "Soul Brother" by Al Grannum, "Can You Find Me Love" by The Majestic Kind, "Smell The Funk" by Inner Drive, "Soul Junction" by Backyard Heavies, "Bump Your Funky Booty" by Hott Snow, "Your Love Must Be Voodoo" by Gene Anderson, and "Sam's Funk" by Magic Sam. 20 tracks -- all heavy!

miles, you have to use winzip or .rar to zip the files as one to download. if you don't have winzip, just google .rar and its a free download.

highlight all of the tracks you want to zip, then right click, "send to", either winzip or .rar.

if you need more info, let me know. im cravin' some new meters right now!

Glad ppl are diggin the funk!

Hot 8 Brass Band

A brass band, but one with a funky different -- a hard and heavy sound that will make you forget any cliches you might have about the genre from the past! The Hot 8 are certainly a combo who live up to their placement on the Tru Thoughts label -- and as Nostalgia 77, Quantic, and other labelmates have updated older sounds strongly -- these guys take the classic New Orleans groove and push it firmly into the present with a sharp-edged approach! There's a bit of drum and percussion at the bottom of the rhythms, but the horns also help the groove too -- and although some solo, most of the rest are jamming with the percussion -- stretching out beautifully while the vocals are called, sung, and shouted over the top. Titles include the group's great cover of "Sexual Healing", plus "What's My Name", "It's Real", "Fly Away", "E Flat Blues", "Get Up", "Love Don't Live Here", and "I Got You".

Quantic Soul Orchestra
The Quantic Soul Orchestra has sold over 60,000 albums worldwide to date and the music has been licensed to 100's of compilations and TV programmes. The first three QSO albums pioneered the sound now being made popular by Amy Winehouse and Mark Ronson. Last year Mr Ronson phoned Will Holland (the man behind the QSO) to ask if he could help him put together the Mark Ronson live band with members of the QSO, which we think gives an indication as to how far the QSO sound has travelled.

This fourth album finds the QSO fusing Latin, Soul, Cumbia (a Colombian style rhythm) and Hip Hop with a funk production ethic. It embodies influences from a number of genres and the unmistakable QSO sound but with a new twist. QSO takes it to the next level! This style has been influenced by Will's relocation to Colombia where the album was recorded with legendary local musicians as well as key UK members of the QSO (including super tight drummer Malcom Catto).
