I don't know where I am at with that. The way they went out and Trey's dismal "Shine" project just left me with a bad taste in my mouth as I am sure it did for everyone else. For some reason I find myself listening to Built To Spill, Broken Social Scene, Sufjan Stevens more often than I do Phish. I don't know what to do with myself...i feel like I am betraying Phish for not listening to their music as much as I once did. Any thoughts?

yeah..yeah...yeah...Sweet Blog brah...

for me, yes.

if phish was more than just a band to you, than I'm sure you care.
i think some people who are very "anti" are just suppressing hurt feelings from having something so beautiful taken away from them.

imo, you never outgrow *it*.

I still care about Phish but I think its great watching Trey run his solo career into the ground. Who would have thought it could have gotten this bad? I never imagined.

no i don't particualrly "care" about trey or phish. I still listen to phish pretty much every day,and I'm not totally opposed to trey's recent work, but I'm certainly not looking feverishly for more and mroe of the stuff like I was even as recently as last year.

i still listen to a good amount of live phish, shows between 93 an 98

i go in phases though, sometimes it's phish every day, sometimes no phish for a month, same with any other artist i listen to really

the more and more i think about it, i dont want phish to come back. i still listen to a bunch of 94-96 shows, and thats what i like to think of when phish comes to mind. i really hope they dont come back.

*fwiw, SHINE was aweful to me

how'd that whole word disappear from my post?? hmmm

" i still listen to a bunch of 94-96 shows, and thats what i like to think of when phish comes to mind"

ummm... 97? 98? 99? post haitus?

there was a lot of SICK stuff during those years.

i was just thinking about this. it's kind of amusing to me how worked up people get about trey's solo stuff. i kept reading threads talking about "bar 17" and didn't even know what people meant. trey solo stuff isn't even a blip in my musical universe. some of that early afro beat stuff he did was nice but otherwise i just can't really be bothered. somebody played part of shine for me once and i just started laughing. trey's abilities are best suited to playing with phish; if and when that happens i'll be there. until then there are still plenty of shows i haven't heard.

I know that, and I was there to witness a lot of it. Im not saying there werent anymore sick shows. im just saying that when i listen to phish, those are the years that choose from. to each his own.

my first phish show was in 92 so umm yeah.. i dont listen to phish anymore... maybee 2 hours a month or so..from 92>20002 i listened much much more but it kind of got old.. only so many times you can hear tweezer etc. before it looses some luster.. as for trey solo i was never diggin it.

Anybody who comes on here and posts obviously cares about Phish/Trey. Otherwise, you are just some message board geek/troll.

OH YEAH...makes sense.

listened to the Lowell 95 Reba today, and loved every second of it. Yes, Phish still matters to me. Trey? I enjoy myself when I go see him, he never provided me with moments like Phish did, although 01, 02 were still pretty damn good.

No...not after seeing a GRAB show this summer. I think it's been proven that Trey/Mike along with any decent drummer and keyboardist can get it done better than PHISH.

No I really don't care much about them anymore. Who cares that Trey has a new album coming out? Who cares about his tour dates? I used to jump on that shit the moment it was released.

For a year now easy, I put Phish on and take them off within 20 minutes. There's ALWAYS sopmething else I'd rather listen to, and none of it sounds much like Phish.

Eh...I'm just at the point where I'd like to hear technically tight jams with that essense of Trey/Mike without them being Phish songs. I saw GRAB play Becky and I was thinking the whole time they were playing was...this is way way better than being in the middle of some melt jam and not have to worry about hear a gay song such as sparkle or bouncin or something like that.
