great fucking show...except for steve harris' daughter opening the show...two min. to midnight > aces high > revelations (my call) > the trooper

great set.. throw in wasted years, rime of the ancient mariner,# of the beast, somewhere in time, powerslave, run to the hills, gallows pole, etc. etc.

Shit that sounds sick! I saw them last time they toured the US and loved the show but they played almost no old material. I'm getting fired up for NJ. Rime of the Ancient Mariner from Live After Death is one of my favorite live concert songs of all time. It's just blistering metal that IMHO puts Metallica to shame...and I love Metallica.

Bruce Dickinmson is one of the coolest mother fuckers ever. I mean the guy flies the bands jet for crying out loud. How sick would it be to have Bruce as your captain flying an Air Bus? Talk about Aces High and Tailgunner!

"Dickinson's interests include literature, writing, fencing (at which he has competed internationally, and he also founded a fencing equipment company under the brand name "Duellist" [2]), train technology and flying Boeing 757 charter jets for the UK charter airline Astraeus where he is employed as a Captain.[3] He was taught to fly by British Airways commercial pilot Captain Phil Dales."

"On 12 February 2007, Dickinson was given permission to fly Rangers to Israel for their UEFA cup game against Hapoel Tel Aviv. Dickinson asked if he could pilot this flight as soon as he found Astraeus had the contract for it."

Dickinson is a dick, totally hates pot.

The real Maiden was with Dianno, ok the Number Of The Beast Tour was the shit.

But you guys are like the come lately's that saw Phish 2000 and on. Iron Maiden sucks now. Get into a new band, while your at it go see Megadeth or something.

Iron Maiden - Secret Concert 1985 - Covers Versions
This is a secret concert where Adrian Smith and Nicko McBrain, under the name of "The Whole Population Of Hackney" joined a few musician friends; Andy Barnett(bass), David Colwell(guitar) and Richard Young(keyboards) (a band that will recruit a drummer and become ASAP project a few years after, the title song of the only ASAP album, "Silver and Gold", is played here) and played many cover versions and Iron Maiden b-sides from "Somewhere in Time". Bruce Dickinson joins the band for the last three songs. Steve Harris and Dave Murray didn't play here!! The Sound is 7/10 but still interesting to listen. Artwork included.
