Thanks, I just remembered gathering dates in Indio as a kid. It makes so much sense. Why wouldn't they give the festival a name yet??? They did it's called "The Date".

I wasn't really buying this at first (even though I lived in Cali 15 years and it does make sense)...but, it really is exactly the kind of thing Phish would do.
"Save the Date" is the name of a 3 day festival, not save the date for a 3 day festival. The more you look at it, the more it starts to sound right. Not saying that's the answer, but I wouldn't be the least bit surprised if it was.
Phish does so love to mess with us...and I love it.
