Cheese/Peak found Horning's to begin with & I fully trust that they'll be able to track down a new venue that's at least that sweet!
In my visualizations the new venue has a lake/pond we can swim in that doesn't stink and doesn't have dead fish floating in it. Maybe a creek/river running into/out of it. Ooh, how about hot showers & real bathrooms? Maybe slightly smaller hills (but still hills, those are nice) & more shaded camping where you can have your car within a 2-3 minute walk. Hmm, what else?
I **LOVED** the times we spent at Horning's & am eternally grateful to the Horning clan for inviting us into their world, but since we're out of there...let's dream BIG!

well, i was at both the string summitt and sci hornings this summer and it depends on your taste...
if you like seeing yonder play with like 8 people at the same time in a superjam that only happens once a year with like 3000 people, half of which are melloooooooooooooow, then nwss is your fest. if you like walking around a campground from bluegrass band to bluegrass band until sunrise every morning, then nwss is your fest. if you dont like seeing illegal shit done right out in the open, and like the idea of there being a respected family camp, then nwss is your fest.
if you like to go into the woods with 7K people and candyflip for four days in a row...then maybe youd prefer sci hornings.
personally, i thought the MUSIC at sci was WAY better than the music at nwss, and thats what really matters. the enviornment helps create the music, i happen to enjoy what we created in august more than what we created in june...but thats me.
