What's this I hear that Beckett's ex-girl is singing the anthem tonight?

And supposedly Cleveland is saying they knew nothing about it?!?!?! Hard to believe, but if they're telling the truth, talk about coincedence.

Wanted to know your thoughts...

Cleveland Plain Dealer - Country music artist Danielle Peck will sing the national anthem and "God Bless America" at tonight's Indians game. She will not sing, "Stand by Your Man." Peck, it turns out, dated Red Sox pitching ace Josh Beckett, who is starting tonight's do-or-die game against the Tribe and who handed them their only loss in the American League Championship Series. The Indians claim they had no idea of the love connection when they announced Tuesday that Peck would replace Taylor Swift as tonight's vocalist. "It's an incredible coincidence. Honestly," said Indians spokesman Bob DiBiasio. "This isn't another bug thing."

I hope it just fires him up. Nothing wrong with that. Just some gamesmenship. Fine with me! They are in more trouble than I thought, if they let this broad affect 'em.

I hear you though!

I think it'll get 'em going. I just don't want to hear "Red Sox Nation" whining about this if they lose.

"This isn't another bug thing."

What a trip that night was! Honestly, I hope you guys take it. I'm getting a bunch of shit in Detroit about it. "Why aren't you cheering for a divisional team?" To which I will continue to quickly reply, fuck the tribe. Plus I wanna see this go 7.

dude if anyone whines about some chick singing the national anthem, who used to bang Beckett, then they aren't a true Sox fan.

Beckett probably told her to take a hike. I think he falls under the catagory of a guy who, " doesn't have a tough time getting pussy."

Peace man. Gotta hop on the train back to NYC and get the grill fired up. And start Guzzlin' budweisahs!!!

GO SOX!!!

Beckett could have finished that game still throwing 95 MPH fastballs right past guys. He really was enjoyable to watch last night. I just wish he would have beat Kenny Lofton's black ass after he came running at him for nothing.

yeah beckett did woof at Lofton. It stems back from 2005. And the Sox aren't very happy with Lofton taking his time getting in the batters box. Tek berated him the other night. Lofton is still a scumbag though.

I'm glad cooler heads prevailed. Tribe could win without Kenny. Sox can't without Beckett.

ON THE THE FENS!!!

Sick Game.

Pedroia made some contact and so did Drew, plus lots of panic.

Had a very cool and strange thing happen to the TV at my buddies house. For about ten minutes we lost a part of the audio track. But it was just the part with Buck and McCarver. So basically all we heard was the field noise and some fan noise. Crack of the bat, ball hitting leather, infield chatter. It was fantastic. I would love to have that option. I guess it happened to them for two hours during the game on Saturday. The we had to goo back to listening to the two A$$ clowns in the booth

Big game saturday.
